Put on your Carolina gear and join fellow Tar Heels, Friday, August 30 in the Pit to celebrate the kickoff of football season and all UNC fall sports. The UNC College Colors Day Tailgate festivities run from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. and feature free food, music, games, giveaways and more.
This free event is sponsored by UNC Trademarks and Licensing, in partnership with Hanesbrands Inc, Carolina Dining Services, UNC Student Stores, UNC Campus Recreation, UNC Housing, UNC Athletics and the Aveda Institute-Chapel Hill.
The 15th annual College Colors Day is a national holiday that gives Tar Heel fans across the country the opportunity to showcase their spirit by wearing Carolina Blue, white or fashion-colored UNC merchandise and then sharing their pride on social media using the hashtag #CollegeColorsDay.
College Colors Day was created by CLC, the University’s licensing partner, to provide a unified spirit day for college fans and supporters. Visit www.collegecolorsday.com to learn more and enter for the chance to win prizes, including two tickets and a trip to the national championship game.
The Office of Trademarks and Licensing was established to promote, protect, preserve and generate revenue through the University’s variety of logos, verbiage, trademarks and copyrights. All net proceeds fund need-based and merit-based scholarships.
