Mia Hamm, Tyler Hansbrough, Sean May, Heather O’Reilly– few universities can boast of as extensive and notable a list of former student-athletes as the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Now, after years of anticipation, fans will be able to show love for their favorite former Tar Heel players through the Carolina Legends collection.

The first products from the Carolina Legends collection will be available from retailers this fall, and will feature merchandise from Champion, Nike and other licensees. The initial launch will highlight Carolina men’s basketball and women’s soccer, with plans to soon expand to other sports and notable alums. Future special releases from Carolina Legends will feature specific UNC teams, eras and more.

Fans can expect to see jerseys and jersey-inspired t-shirts featuring former Tar Heels at UNC Student Stores, shop.goheels.com and select local and national retailers. Additional apparel, non-apparel, non-fungible token (NFT) artwork and other tangible and digital assets will be released in the near future.

Carolina Legends will initially feature players represented by a group licensing initiative between The Brandr Group and Carolina Athletics, with additional players and partnerships to be added. Through individual and group licensing, Carolina Legends helps former players to profit from their marketability through officially licensed products that also support need and merit-based scholarships at UNC-Chapel Hill

All merchandise in the Carolina Legends collection will feature the official Carolina Legends logo.
